My name is Brad Hobbs, and I serve as Regional Sales Manager for Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska with American Distribution and Manufacturing. More importantly, I’m a friend of the Bachman family and a concerned citizen who believes we need thoughtful, hardworking people representing our communities.

I was raised Republican, but shortly after leaving the family home nearly 40 years ago, I became a Democrat. Over the years, I’ve watched our political system become increasingly divided and disconnected from the people it is supposed to serve. I believe we need fresh voices and new leadership at every level — local, state, and federal.

That’s why I’m proud to support Miranda Bachman for Kansas House District 69.

I share Miranda’s positions on the issues that matter to working families, and I admire her drive, her compassion, and especially her willingness to stand up for what she believes in, even when doing so means taking some heat. She understands that public policy should strengthen the middle class, support working people, and provide opportunity for those who are struggling to get ahead.

Miranda is willing to listen, willing to work, and willing to fight for the people she represents. That is exactly the kind of fresh leadership I believe we need in Topeka.

I’m proud to endorse Miranda Bachman and encourage the voters of District 69 to support her.

Fresh leadership. Working-family values. A voice for District 69.

Miranda Bachman has been a grassroots community leader for some time.  As she says in her campaign literature, the first word for her is community.  How are we ALL faring, not just those closest to us?

Her commitment to fair treatment for all is unquestioned among those who know her, and many who don’t.  She has been a pioneer and full participant, in her own life and in many others.

Over her lifetime, she has sought out new career paths and sources to make herself better informed.  I am most aware of the program through SRHC to train new nurses’ aides.  She worked there for some time in that capacity and (most indelibly for me) took care of me when hit by a car lying there awaiting a hip replacement.  That was Christmas weekend of 2023.  Like other nurse aides, she was on duty, rain or shine, holiday or not.  That’s Miranda Bachman’s calling.

She left that world of work and established, with others, her own Salina community service non-profit, the Kansas Impact Coalition.  As the founders describe it, the Coalition works toward “empowerment, compassion, and real solutions.”  As their purpose reads, “[In] uniting neighbors and lifting each other up, we’re not just addressing needs, we’re strengthening the bonds that make our city thrive.”

She also participates in other organizations, as she has time.  She has served, and is now on the board, of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Salina.  She’s already tirelessly working to speak and listen to the public around a variety of issues, from property taxes to water quality.

It is this spirit that drives Miranda to replace Clarke Sanders’ and the Legislature’s cavalier attitude.  Finally, when she and like-minded others are elected, we the people, not special interests, will be well-served.

Miranda is a proven, hard-working, seasoned advocate for all.  Vote Bachman for the 69th!

Miranda Bachman is the rare individual who never sought attention for her social activism, yet hundreds have shown up to support her organizations and events. I've followed her around since her massive BLM protest in 2020, observing, filming and editing her story and the changes it has helped inspire; first at the local level and now regional. Her health care background has shown in the care that she takes in not alienating but rather working with folks from various backgrounds and viewpoints. Staunchly opposing the fascists among us clearly hasn't been easy, but she's the first one that I saw standing up at a time when fears were running rampant. Brave, tactical and tactful, she knows and actively works toward social equity with generosity and compassion while maintaining a 360 degree awareness on threats, rapidly changing conditions and keeping our worst urges at bay – All while keeping up with her many family responsibilities. In short, she is not only suited to represent the needs of district 69, but is well-suited to expand on that role and will learn and grow as a vital voice for more of us in the future. Things will get worse, but Miranda and her friends are already dispensing mutual aid; free clothing, food, and even some medical and social support for our most vulnerable citizens. As things fall down, she steps up with action, not promises. Yeah, we need this kind of leadership. Now.

I first heard of Miranda Bachman in May of 2020 after George Floyd was murdered.  Word got around that there was going to be a rally/march for Mr. Floyd in Salina, and Miranda's name came up as one of the leaders and organizers.  When I arrived at the starting place for the march, I was astounded at the number of people who were there to pay tribute; I believe there were over a thousand people there!  And I thought "That young woman is powerful and dedicated."  I am a senior citizen, a mother, grandmother, and a resident of Salina since August of 1973.  I have come to love Salina and Kansas, even with all of their shortcomings.  It matters a great deal to me to have representatives who are strong, compassionate, intelligent, hardworking, and who care about Salina and the State of Kansas (and the people who live there) as much as I do.  Miranda and I have gotten to know each over the years, and I'm proud to call her my friend. I feel that I know her well enough to say that she has all of the qualities I want a state representative to have.  If you have concerns or questions, communicate with her in a way that's comfortable for you; if she doesn't know the answer right away she will, with her usual determination, find the answer.  Vote for Miranda Bachman in November; you'll be glad you did!

VOTE FOR MIRANDA BACHMAN!

During my 35 years as a school administrator, I hired many teachers, support staff, and other dedicated professionals who contribute so much to our schools. After knowing Miranda for two years, I would confidently hire her for any position for which she was qualified.

As voters, you are fortunate to have someone like Miranda running for office. She gives generously of her time and effort to the church where we met, and she is reliable, thoughtful, and committed to following through on what she says she will do. Miranda cares deeply about people, and I have no doubt that commitment will be evident when she is elected.

Miranda is not in my district, so I cannot vote for her; you can and I strongly encourage you to do so.

You know I vote Republican but would love to speak of your Character and your Commitment to help those that can’t help themselves! If you’re on my ballot you will have my vote! We are very proud of all our Children! I remember when Miranda V. Bachman was young her classmates voted for her as the person they want to have stick up for them when they needed it the most! Really, not surprised Miranda decided to run or that Miranda won her primary election! Miranda is strong, caring, street smart! A wonderful Mom, Daughter, and Determined to Win! She spends most of time helping those that are unable to help themselves! She also helps me with Special Olympics! Love you Miranda we have always wanted you to follow your dreams and reach your goals with a positive attitude!

I am supporting Miranda Bachman in her race for the Kansas Legislature from District 69.  Every so often, we reach a moment when new ideas and fresh energy can help us move forward. I’m grateful for everyone who has stepped up to serve over the years, and I’m hopeful about the possibilities that come with change. Kansas has always been at its best when we mix respect for the past with a willingness to try something new.  She is running against Clarke Sanders.  I like Clarke, he always treated me well when I was in the Kansas Legislature.  But Clarke, like me, is old and tired. We need new, and Miranda would be a great choice in November.

I Josh Gilmore as an lgbtq+ plus community leader in Central Kansas. I understand the value of Miranda. She has worked and served within her community for several years. She has always been easy to communicate with and understands the in and out of city county issues. She is of the people because she works with the people. That's why I will fully support. Miranda for Kansas House 69th .

My name is Heather Allen. As a registered nurse with experience in pediatrics and medical-surgical nursing, I've had the privilege of working alongside Miranda for years. Throughout that time, I watched her consistently advocate for her patients, speak up when it mattered, and never shy away from doing what was right, even when it wasn't the easy choice.

That same passion extends far beyond healthcare. Through her nonprofit and her everyday involvement in our community, Miranda has always been someone who steps up to help others and fights for what she believes in. I truly believe she'll bring that same dedication and determination to serving the people of District 69.

I'm also fortunate to know Miranda outside of work on a personal level. Over the years, I've seen the kind of friend, mother, and community member she is. She genuinely cares about the people around her and is always willing to step in and help when someone needs it. She's the kind of person who shows up for people in the little ways that matter, too. She helps me by taking my son to daycare in the mornings, and her son is friends with one of my children. She's not just someone who talks about building a stronger community—she lives it every day.

I wholeheartedly support Miranda for Kansas House District 69 because I know she will advocate for the people of Kansas with the same compassion, integrity, and determination that she's shown throughout her career and in our community.

My name is Elizabeth Graham and I am a pediatric nurse who has personally worked with Miranda and saw how much she truly cared for our patients. She would always go above and beyond in patient care taking time to talk with the patients and get to know them. I have seen her do the same thing outside of the hospital in her non profit work. I know she will be a great fit for Kansas House Representative district 69 because she truly cares for people and wants better for everyone. If anyone can change things it will be her!

Miranda V. Bachman has the  warm heart always trying to help others❤️ i’m so excited and so happy for you! Will all was support you❤️❤️❤️

You may not know her yet, but you will soon! And the whole state of Kansas will know her, as well! She is the voice of the people! No flowery language, no mega-bucks, no big money in her back pocket! Just a real person who continues to fight for ALL the people. I’ve known her for years… Worked with her in the medical field. She worked hard and advocated for her patients every time and she WILL work hard and advocate for YOU! Cari Harpster, nurse, army veteran
